01How your money is held
- When you sign in, a self-custodial wallet is created and bound to your login. The private key is provisioned to you, not to Predict.
- Every deposit, trade, and withdrawal is a transaction your wallet signs. Nothing happens to your money without your authorization.
- Because there's no house account, there's no house balance sheet to run off with — a failure at Predict cannot take your funds with it.
- The flip side of real ownership: you are responsible for your login and wallet access. Guard them like the keys to a safe.
02Account security
- Passwordless login. You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email — there's no reusable password for an attacker to steal or phish.
- Keys stay out of the browser tab. Wallet key material is handled by our login provider's secure environment, not exposed to the page or to us.
- Encrypted transport. All traffic is served over HTTPS.
- What you can do: protect your email inbox with a strong password and two-factor authentication, and never share a login code — we will never ask you for one.
03How markets resolve
A market is a real question with a stated resolution source and a close time. When it closes, it settles to the outcome that actually happened, as reported by that source, and winning positions become redeemable on-chain.
- Resolution runs on the exchange where the market settles, under its published rules — Predict doesn't get to decide who won.
- Settlement is on-chain, so anyone can verify it. Payouts aren't a number we type in; they're enforced by the settlement contract.
- If a real-world outcome is genuinely contested, resolution can take longer while the source confirms it. We'd rather be right than fast.
04Pricing & fees
The odds you see aren't invented by Predict. Each price is the live market probability from a real order book, streamed as it moves — the same number the exchange shows. When the crowd changes its mind, the line changes in front of you.
- One fee, shown up front. Predict charges 2% on your stake, displayed in the ticket before you confirm. The payout you're quoted is already net of it.
- No spread games. We don't quietly widen prices to pad a margin — you trade against the real book.
- Network costs. Settling on-chain can carry a small blockchain network fee, which Predict neither controls nor collects.
05Your data
We collect the minimum needed to run the service — your verified email, your public wallet address, an approximate region, and basic usage data. Your display name and avatar live on your own device. We don't sell your personal information. Full details are in the Privacy Policy.
One honest caveat: activity on a public blockchain is public by design. Anyone can look up the transactions tied to a wallet address — that's how on-chain settlement stays verifiable.
06When something's wrong
If a trade looks mispriced, a market seems to have resolved incorrectly, or a payout didn't arrive, contact us and we'll investigate. Because settlement happens on the exchange, resolution disputes are ultimately decided there under its rules — but we'll help you chase it down and escalate.
- Email info@onesync.music with the market and, if you have it, the transaction hash.
- We aim to acknowledge reports within two business days.
- Found a security vulnerability? Report it privately to the same address before disclosing it publicly, and we'll work with you on a fix.
07Contact
Trust is easy to claim and hard to keep. If anything on Predict doesn't match what's written here, we want to know: info@onesync.music.
